Privacy Policy — Crew

Crew is a business HR/CRM application used by companies to manage attendance, tasks, customers and field-visit tracking for their employees. It is used within an employment relationship; data is collected for work purposes only and with the employee's consent.

1) Data we collect

• Identity / account: name, employee ID, job title, profile photo.
• Attendance: check-in/out times, GPS location at the moment of punch, and an approximate place name at punch only.
• Live location: when the employee enables it themselves, the app collects the device location periodically — including while running in the background — and only during the employee's attendance window (between check-in and check-out). Collection stops automatically at check-out or end of day.
• CRM data: customer details the employee enters (name, phone, activity, notes, appointments, location).
• Audio: speech-to-text / text-to-speech for quick input, processed on-device where possible.
• Device info: device model and OS for security and diagnostics.

2) Why we collect it

• Verify attendance and compute working hours.
• Track field visits for employees working outside the office and compute travel expenses.
• Manage tasks, customers and sales pipeline.
• Send reminders and notifications.

3) Background location — prominent disclosure

Location tracking is OFF by default and only starts after the employee enables it and accepts the in-app disclosure. When enabled, the employer may see the employee's location during the attendance window only, for work and field-visit purposes. Collection continues in the background for route accuracy and stops automatically at check-out.

4) Data sharing

• We do not sell your data.
• Data is stored on the employer's own server and visible only to the employee's relevant managers.
• OpenStreetMap is used to display maps.
• Condensed customer data may be sent to an AI provider to generate follow-up suggestions when the "AI Assistant" is used.

5) Retention & security

Data is retained for the duration of the employment relationship and per the employer's legal requirements. We apply reasonable security measures (encrypted transport, restricted access).

6) Your rights

You may access, correct or request deletion of your data by contacting the employer responsible for your account, or us at the address below. You can disable location tracking anytime from the app settings.

7) Children

The app is for professional use by working adults and is not directed to children under 18.
